This year’s Cambridge Rotary Rib Fest is set to take place again this summer and features iconic rocker Kim Mitchell with opening act Cambridge’s own The Reklaws kicking things off on August 10 (concert tickets are $35).
Then between August 11-13, admission to the Rotary rib event in Riverside Park is free but a donation to Rotary is greatly appreciated. There’s lots of entertainment and a KidZone at this popular family-friendly event.
Cambridge Rotary Ribfest is jointly organized by volunteers from the Rotary Clubs of Cambridge Sunrise and Cambridge North as their key fund-raising event. Donations collected help fund various charities, projects and humanitarian causes that Rotary supports.
As for the food, North American ribbers compete for “Best Ribs,” “Best Chicken,” “Best Sauce,” and “People’s Choice” awards. Other food vendors will be on site as well, and there will be vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Live entertainment performs during the weekend and two beer and beverage tents will be serving up tasty drinks. The classic car show will take place on the Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The City of Cambridge will once again be providing a bicycle valet option to encourage cycling to the park.
In addition, Flag Raiders Paintball, Bubble Force and Archery Tag are among the many fun activities to check out or you can just stroll the many marketplace vendors.
