Adding up the Dim Sum

Adding up the Dim Sum

Clang, clang, clang goes the trolley; especially delicious is the one that takes you to dim sum.

It means “heart’s delight,” those little morsels–multiple munches–that please so divinely. By my calculations, dim sum adds up to great flavour. Here are a few local selections for the coming week.

Luscious shrimp dumplings.

A popular spot near Wilfrid Laurier University serving a lunch buffet during the week, but the highlight during the weekend is riding the trolley service for dim sum.

"Phoenix paws" are less well known as chicken feet, toenails and all.

Crystal Palace Chinese Restaurant

A heart’s delight of bites served in a basic and dog-eared restaurant that really packs them in for both the all-you-can-eat weekday lunch buffet and the delicious dim sum selections

Just about everyone's favourite: sticky rice in lotus leaf.

A three-star Cameron selection for me is their Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. It remains one of my wonderful, cruciferous favourites: its heady aroma, just barely cooked texture, slightly tart sauce, and vibrant green colour are truly amazing.
